Veteran Equine Trail Service

V.E.T.S. is a program for our brave servicemen and women offering them the chance to work with and heal with horses. They get to work hands on with the wonderful Morgans of Luvs Morgan Rescue, learning the ins and outs of horse care, and opening up to the love of these beautiful horses. This is a non-for-profit organization that is offered at no cost to the veterans involved. Donations are thankfully accepted of either tack, monetary, feed, or even a helping hand. By veterans for veterans. Something little to give back to people that are so great!

Hogs for Heroes

One Bike at a Time. One Hero at a Time. We are a nonprofit dedicated to healing the mental and physical wounds, suffered by Wisconsin Veterans during the course of active duty, through the therapeutic benefits of owning and riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. We will raise funds, purchase a motorcycle and gift it to a deserving Wisconsin Veteran Hero. One Bike at a time. One Hero at a time. There is a long-standing tie between our military, its service members and the benefits of motorcycle riding. We believe the freedom of the road, the collegiality of riders and the pride and peace found in ownership can support the healing for those Veterans who have long enjoyed the passion for riding and now find themselves without means or ability to do so. Awarding one bike at a time and recognizing one hero at a time, it is our hope we not only make the rough road a little smoother for a returning Hero, but that we also convey a collective message of gratitude for their service contributions.

Heat For Heroes

United States Military Veterans are among the least likely to come forward to ask for help in times of trouble, even when they find themselves facing life-threatening situations. Pride is often the principal barrier for Veterans in receiving this much-needed assistance. Recognizing this, in September 2013, Energy Services, Inc. and the Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund launched its statewide Heat And Housing For Heroes Campaign! The Heat And Housing For Heroes Campaign is uniquely designed to avert life-threatening energy-related emergencies by helping struggling Veterans keep their heat and power on; while also providing adequate resource connections with other State, County, and Veteran services for optimal, long-term household stability.

Custom Canine

The decision to partner with a PTS service dog is a momentous one for most veterans and first responders: trusting an animal to enhance your well-being can provide you with a life-changing experience. Our PTS Service Dogs support individuals with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, and we are careful to ensure that each of our students is teamed with a dog that best suits that person’s capability, lifestyle, mobility, personality, and psychological needs. We match each applicant with the dog that will be their partner, and the power of this partnership transforms both their lives. It is this bond within a working service dog team that makes all of the magic happen.
